Steel

Reclaimed Timber

Reclaimed Timber

All of our steel is a mix of raw unfinished steel and powder coated. All hairpin legs and dining table legs are finished in a black powder coat. Whereas our clear coat steel frame legs are raw steel.

We suggest cleaning the raw steel legs with WD-40 once every 3-6 months to stop any rust spots from appearing.

Reclaimed Timber

All of our timber is sourced from local reclamation yards. The tops will have knots, ridges, splits, cracks And gaps. These will not be 100% level as this is the nature of the wood and look we are going for.

Most of the timber we use has a higher than normal moisture content. We suggest placing out of direct sunlight for the first couple of weeks as the timber will need to acclimatise to the new environment.

We suggest re oiling surfaces with linseed or Danish oil every 6-12 months to keep the finish at best. Do not use harsh chemicals to clean.

Maintenance kits can be purchased for all finishes. please email us to find out more. Cabournscarpentry@gmail.com

Wax

Danish oil.

Danish oil.

All of our wax finishes including Dark oak, Antique oak and Walnut are natural finishes and are there to protect the wood.

We suggest you do not place hot items directly onto the surface and use coasters or mats instead. This will prevent the top from staining.

We suggest waxing every 6-12 months to build up a good protective barrier for the wood and to keep it at its best.

(Wax can be purchased through the website. Just email to ask us to send with your order)
